The objective of CodeBreaker is to decipher the hidden secret code. You have nine chances to break the code. The secret code may consist of any combination of the six colors shown on the left side of the screen. After each guess, a score will be displayed consisting of two numbers. The first number (in green) represents how many pegs in your guess match the secret code in color AND position. The second number (in yellow) represents how many pegs in your guess match the secret code in color only. For example, if the secret code is "yellow, white, purple, pink" and you guessed "white, green, purple, orange", your score would be "1 1". The first "1" represents the fact that you guessed purple and you have it in the correct position. The second "1" represents the fact that you guessed white, but it is not in the correct position.

The goal is to guess all four colors of the secret code and to have them in the correct position. By studying each incorrect guess and its score, you should be able to decipher the secret code within nine turns.
